Behaviour Consultations

Behaviour Consultations
are recommended for pets that show
undesirable and problematic behaviour patterns such as:
 |
Aggression
towards people, dogs or other animals |
 |
Destructive behaviour |
 |
Separation
anxiety |
 |
Fear
related problems (including noise, fireworks, etc.) |
 |
Inappropriate toileting (if your pet is over 6 months old) |
 |
Any other
unusual behaviour patterns |
First of
all your veterinary surgeon
should be consulted to eliminate any possible medical or clinical causes for
the behaviour. Following this, an appointment can be arranged with Jo
who is a qualified behaviour consultant to observe your pet and identify
events, items or situations that could have triggered the behaviour
problems.
Home Visits
for any dog, cat or small pet behaviour problems
These consultations are
conducted at your home so that I can see how your pet interacts with you in
a familiar environment. Here we discuss your pet's inappropriate behaviour
in detail, and develop a work programme that is put into action immediately
to start resolving the problems! This is followed-up with a report
highlighting the points that we discussed at the appointment, and you are
encouraged to keep in touch with me via email or telephone to ensure that
you are progressing well.
The initial appointment lasts
approximately 2 hours, and the fee is £90.00 plus travelling costs if you
live more than 10 miles away from Langley Park. If you need to arrange
follow-up Home Visits then these are £35.00, or you can arrange follow-up
sessions for dogs at Bowburn for practical work.

NOTE:
It is extremely difficult for an assessment to be made over the telephone,
